Location -
Scalebarrow Knott is a Birkett and an Outlying Wainwright Fell at a height of 338 metres (1,109 feet) in the Far Eastern area of the Lake District. It is in the Branstree Group of Birketts. Wainwright's walk to Scalebarrow Knott is part of the Naddle Horseshoe which includes the fells of Scalebarrow Knott, Harper Hills, Hare Shaw, Naddle High Forest, Wallow Crag and Hugh's Laithes Pike.

Summit -
The summit of Scalebarrow Knott has a pile of stones on a grassy top. The views eastward and northwards around Rosgill and Naddle and are very good.
