Route | Southampton - At Sea |
Well at long last ... this is it ... we are off to Norway. We have been waiting for this holiday for almost two years!! With Nicola not being well we had to cancel last year. This year's destinations are slightly different ... for example we are not going to Olden but we are going to Geiranger.
Todays Route - Home - Taxi To Keele Services On M6 - Eavesway Coach To Southampton - Southampton - At Sea (Solent - English Channel - North Sea)
The taxi journey to Keele was fairly straightforward except for a slight hold up on the A50 through Stoke (early morning work traffic). We waiting a short time at the services at Keele before we were on our way to Southampton on one of Eavesway's Coaches. On the way we had a short break at Warwick Services.
Once in Southampton we headed for Ocean Terminal where we had our first view of Arcadia. As I thought it was much larger than I expected.

After making our way through Customs And Passport Control we were soon on Arcadia. It was amazing how big it was once we were aboard. Walking along corridors and using one of the many lifts to find our accommodation for the next two weeks. We were very impressed with our balcony cabins (which were next to each other).
After a short time in the cabins and waiting for our luggage we went up to the top decks to see the views and activity. Eventually we were on our way ... leaving Southampton Docks and making our way along the Solent.
